Call to Conference

The 48th Annual Founder Region Conference is just around the corner and I invite you to attend at the newly  remodeled San Ramon Marriott. It has been 5 years since we had Conference in San Ramon, so your Founder Region Board is looking forwarding to providing a wonderful time for you during the weekend. Mark your calendars for May 3rd  through 5th as we gather for fun, fellowship,  and some region business.

Our Legislative Advocacy Committee will explore “Safeguarding - Cyber & Personal.”   We are living in an age where so many scammers are looking to deceive us through email scams, phone scams, and even Facebook scams. We will learn how to protect ourselves, our children, and grandchildren, and what is being done by law enforcement to protect us from these con artists.

We will be electing our 2024-2026 Founder Region and Fellowship Boards at our Saturday business meeting. Be sure to download the candidate resumes and share with your club and be prepared to vote for your district representative. There will also be two Founder Region by-law amendment proposals. Attend our Caucus on Tuesday, March 26th via Zoom to learn about these amendments. More information to follow as our Call to Conference is published in a few days.

We will have some fun socializing each evening during the weekend. Thursday night “Meet & Greet” with the Founder Region and Fellowship boards and meet the candidates running for offices for the 2024-2026 biennium. Friday night will be Founder Region Fellowship’s awards presentations. Saturday night we will bid farewell to our current boards and install our boards for the upcoming biennium. Don your best black and white attire as we will end the evening by dancing the night away to many of your favorite tunes.
