SIA Convention Awards

During the recent SIA Virtual Convention, region awards were announced and Founder Region was honored with several accomplishments from the 2019-2020 club year.  Congratulations to all the clubs mentioned below for your continued support of our organization and membership efforts. Immediate Past Governor, Sylvia Crafton, and her board should be commended for their leadership and dedication to all the clubs in our region.  The 2020-2022 Founder Region Board will endeavor to keep “Reaching for New Heights” as we “Dream BIG for the future!”

SIA announced the Shaping the Future Awards today, and it is so exciting for Founder Region to receive the Shaping the Future Award in the Public Awareness category!!! Congratulations to Region Public Awareness Chair Jackie DeVries and your committee and thank you for your consistent delivery of our newsletter, Facebook posts, and content for our meeting presentations.

AND, AND, AND, Founder Region is also receiving the Shaping the Future Award recognition for:

To be recognized as the outstanding region, Founder Region had success across all four Pillar areas. This was truly a collaborative effort and all of our 2018-2020 Region Board – Governor Sylvia Crafton, Governor-elect Kris Chorbi, Secretary Pat Eileen Fisher, Treasurer Vicki Ham, District Directors Elise Balgley, Bev Gomer, Joy Swank, Barbara Young, Dyann O’Brien, Kristal Koga, Region Pillar Chairs – Program Chair Kris Chorbi, Membership Chair Bobbi Enderlin, Fundraising Chair Lyn Lurbe, Public Awareness Chair Jackie DeVries and the region committees and clubs, contributed to these successes. All clubs giving at the Dreamers level or above, clubs who marked their $250+ contribution as 10%, AND clubs that increased their gift by more than 10% over the previous year were entered into a drawing for a $1,000 Live Your Dream Award. This award provides additional funding for a locally chosen recipient in the 2020-2021 club year. In total, there were 5,571 entries!
