District Meeting Recap
Thank you to everyone who attended the 2023 District Meetings. It was wonderful to see so many of you come out and enjoy the presentations and be with members of other clubs. The “BEE” themed decorations were beautiful and the Fellowship baskets were very impressive. Speaking of Fellowship, Founder Region Fellowship did well on their fundraising drawings and the Fellowship Board continued to sell bee themed bags and jewelry which the members enjoyed. Eleven names were drawn for new fellows or a level up and three members paid for their personal fellows. Congratulations to all the winners as we support Fellowship’s grants to help women in the final phase of their doctoral degrees.
For our presentations, Governor Vicki shared the “Global Impact” of our organization at the international, federation, region, club and member level to remind members that together, we are making a difference locally and around the world. She shared an SIA video on the Live Your Dream Awards and a video on the upcoming SIA Convention in Bellevue, Washington next July. Our Pillar Chairs shared important information related to Fundraising, Membership, Programs, and Public Awareness and how your clubs can access SIA’s resources to be successful. The Directors deviated from the norm this year and invited club members in their districts to share their club projects in the four pillars. Feedback from our May Conference proved that clubs enjoy sharing their projects and learning from other clubs.
Thank you to all the District Directors, the Fellowship Board, Pillar Chairs, presenters, and a HUGE thank you to the host clubs who made the 2023 District Meetings a success.
