New Club Year

Welcome to the 2023-2024 club year!

Congratulations to your newly elected officers. I have been fortunate to be able to attend a few of your club installations. I cannot attend all that I have been invited to, but I appreciate all the invitations and I wish all of your boards and clubs much success in the upcoming year.

It was great to see many of you in June at Leadership Training. It was nice to have members from around the region attend the “in-person” training in Eureka and then follow us up to Trees of Mystery and the Memorial Grove service. I love seeing members face-to-face again.

The SI Convention in Dublin, Ireland is fast approaching. I hope that we can gather as a region for a photo opportunity when we are there. The plan is that we can meet at the Spencer Hotel bar around 5:30 pm on Wednesday, July 26th, for some fun and fellowship and take a photo at that time. If you are not staying at the convention headquarters hotel, head on over Wednesday at 5:30. If there is a change to this, I will try to let you know.

I have been notified that SIA will be sending out the updated information on the program that is replacing Soroptimists Celebrating Success. Clubs will be notified of the roll-out in the coming weeks. In the meantime, Founder Region will continue to accept applications for your projects in the four pillars for the current year (2022-2023) Celebrating Success to be awarded at our 2024 Conference. We are extending the deadline for submissions until August 1, 2023, so be sure to send your forms in to Chair Debbie Scaife prior to 8/1.

Don’t forget – Dues are now due! Be sure to send your forms and payments in to SIA, Founder Region Treasurer Tess, and Fellowship Treasurer Danelle to avoid a late fee!

Enjoy your summer and I look forward to seeing many of you in a few weeks in Dublin!
Governor Vicki
