Conference Recap

It's a Wrap!

Well, the 2021 Founder Region Conference has come to an end and it was a huge success! Wow, was it jam packed.  We had 103 attend the Fellow’s Reception, 118 attend the Legislative Advocacy Program, 183 attend the Fellowship Event Gala, 138 attend the “Road to Equality” Presentations by SI President Sharon Fisher, 124  attend the Founder Region and Founder Region Fellowship business meeting,  85 attend the Saturday Night Social, 140  attend the Saturday night 100 year Celebration, and finally, 124 attend the Memorial Tribute and Awards Program on Sunday.  Overall, we had over 1000 in attendance throughout our combined events. We presented a total of $136,000 awarded through the Fellowship Grants, Live Your Dream & Violet Richardson Awards, and donation to SIA Dream Programs though the Conference fundraiser.  And this does not even count how much was raised for our Fellowship Program. Please enjoy our slide-shows below of all our amazing events.

We hope you enjoyed our virtual conference, and we would love to have your feedback, although we hope this is the last virtual format we will need to use in the future.  Please take a few minutes to complete the 2021 Conference Evaluation. Your feedback is vital for us to learn and grow so each conference can only get better.

Conference Service Project

The “Dress a Girl Around the World” Conference Service Project received over 285 dresses from 24 clubs, far exceeding my goal of “100”.  Thank you to the following clubs for participating: The East Bay, El Cerrito, Martinez, Richmond, American Canyon, Antioch, The Delta, Calistoga, Clear Lake, Marin County, Napa, Novato, Oakmont Wine Country, Sonoma Valley, St. Helena Sunrise, Vacaville, Vacaville Twilight, Arcata, Eureka, Crescent City, Eel River Valley, Central Oahu, Honolulu, and The Marianas. Our members really had fun designing and embellishing the adorable dresses who will be given to a girl in need. We hope they will bring joy to girls all over the world and thank Cara Begley from SI/Antioch for coordinating this whole project.

Fellowship Fun Run/Walk

Here is the latest update of team totals for the upcoming Fun Run/Walk for Fellowship that is planned May 15th but you have 2 weeks to finish and upload your time is you wish on the race roster event page.  You can do this on a treadmill or your local park; by yourself or with a buddy.
Below that is the link to see the team listings and to donate or join the event. Just type in your club name without the SI and it will show up in the search, then you just click and go from there.
Teams — Dream BIG for Education Fun Run/Walk - Virtual — Race Roster — Registration, Marketing, Fundraising
Every club who reaches $1000 will win a Fellow for their club to give to a member or award to their club.  Even if you only buy a shirt would help as we do have a minimum we have to reach. Our goal was to get at least 1-2 members from each club.
Thanks so much for your support and if you have any questions please feel free to reach out to me at:  frffunrun@gmail.com

Thank you
